Why bristol needs
this theatre
Our city has an incredible performing arts scene, but no mid-sized affordable venues for amateur theatre groups, youth companies, dance schools or touring artists to use.Existing venues are often; too expensive, phasing out amateur groups (in favour of professionals), & unsuitable/ poor quality in size and spec

our mission is
change
We will create a modern theatre venue that will be self-sustaining and will be there to support the theatre community in our city.We are working on to make change.
But we can only do this with your support.
Our current member clubs
BAOS (Bristol Amateur Operatic Society), BAOS Youth, BLOC (Bristol Light Operatic Company), BGSOS (Bristol Gilbert & Sullivan Operatic Society), BMCC (Bristol Musical Comedy Club), BMT (Bristol Musical Theatre), BMYP (Bristol Musical Youth Productions), Plugstage Productions, St Alban's Players, St Mary's Players
300+ years of combined performing experience
We are a collective of performers, producers and creatives with deep roots in Bristol's amateur theatre scene. Our shows have entertained audiences for decades, sitting alongside professional productions. But in recent years, the costs needed to produce our shows in the available venues has become unsustainable. Established and much-loved amateur groups are therefore disbanding at an alarming rate due to the financial and operational barriers. We are working together to change that. Our vision is to build a modern, affordable and sustainable performing arts venue. This new space will let local groups, touring companies, youth organisations and emerging artists thrive.
